Seeking Shalom: Engaging Poverty with Gospel Wholeness

Starting on Monday nights, beginning January 15th, we want to engage the issue of poverty with gospel wholeness, recognizing it as more than just an economic issue. By utilizing the course entitled “Seeking Shalom,” created by the team who work with Bob Lupton’s ministry, we will be watching short videos through the provided course and discuss the questions given (and hopefully proposed action) as we strive to see where the Spirit leads us in addressing this systemic problem in our world.

This is not simply a course about charity or loving the poor, though that is a part of it. There is so much more to realizing the state of our hearts as we strive to gain God’s heart for His world.

Sign-up on The City. The cost of the course is $10 per person, paid directly to RCC (ask Mike Browne for more details on that or with any other questions), and feel free to check out http://www.luptoncenter.org/ if you would like more information on the course or Focused Community Strategies.
