Every Summer our middle school and high school students have the opportunity to get away for a few days to develop friendships, play, worship, hear God’s word, and make some fun memories on our annual Summer Retreat.
This year we will be returning to Cloudland Canyon State Park July 19-22, which we visited on our 2016 retreat. This Northern Georgia site is surrounded by beautiful hiking trails and waterfalls. Our lodging area includes a great field for outdoor play, fire pit (for s’mores – what else?), and a group lodge where we’ll enjoy meals together, have sessions of worship, and sleep (maybe a little). There is also an optional outing where students can go on a nearby guided Cave Tour with G3 Adventures. I’m really excited to be going back with you all!
Our theme this year is “Outcasts.” From the time we are little kids, we learn how to put things in boxes and we gravitate toward the boxes that we’re comfortable with. But what about the people who don’t fit into our boxes? It’s easiest to avoid interacting with these people, making them feel like outsiders. God’s family isn’t just for people who fit into our boxes – it’s for everyone!
This trip is open to students who will be starting 6th grade in the fall through graduating High School Seniors (Class of 2018). You can register for the retreat at the link below. Each student will need to submit an updated Medical Release Form.
Registration deadline is June 6th with an Early Bird Discount ($10) for students who register by May 15th!
